pastry for 9-inch pie
1 lb. hamburger
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chili sauce
Topping:
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 cups cheese, grated
Brown meat and drain. Add salt, oregano, pepper, bread crumbs, 1/2 can tomato sauce, onion
and green pepper. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Mix topping ingredients together and spread
over meat mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 425 degrees. Before serving, top with heated
mixture of remaining 1/2 can tomato sauce and chili sauce.
